I was
born and raised in Park City, Utah. I spent much of my life
enjoying the outdoors skiing, windsurfing, and biking with friends
and family.
Margie and Jim, my parents who met teaching skiing in Park
City, encouraged my athletic habits by taking me skiing at the
age of 2 and yearly trips to Hood River for windsurfing.
Music came into my
life in 5th
grade when I began playing trombone in the school bands. Jazz
music became my passion and took me all the way through college.
Along the way I started paying drums and eventually the bass
guitar, too. I currently play upright bass with bluegrass band Public
Radio.
I also play five string electric bass with one of the
local favorite rock/country bands, The Kim Stocking Band.
Playing with the fine musicians in these groups around the valley
has refined my musical playing abilities and provided me with some
of my best friendships.
After
college I followed a job opportunity with Scott USA to Ketchum
Idaho, near the Sun
Valley Resort. Over the last few years I have made it my
home, still enjoying all my favorite outdoor sports. Finding a
balance with work, friends, and music always adds to the
continuing adventure.
